Delete your account & data

What gets deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:

• Your worker account: name, username, email, phone, and password.
• The contacts you own: their numbers, names, and any details you recorded.
• Your activity: calls, WhatsApp and SMS follow-ups, notes, stage changes, and prayer logs.
• Your preferences and push-notification token.

The copy of your data held on your own device is cleared separately, when you sign out of 2028 or delete the app from that device.

Option 1: Request by email (works today)

Send us a deletion request and we'll verify and action it.

1. Email 2028-privacy@benlottejnr.org from the email address on your account.
2. Use the subject line "Delete my account".
3. So we can confirm it's really you, send it from your account email. We may ask one more question to verify ownership.
4. We'll confirm by reply once your account and data are deleted.

Option 2: From inside the app

In the released app, open Settings and choose Delete account, then confirm. Your account and data are queued for deletion straight away. (While 2028 is still pre-launch, please use the email route above.)

How long it takes

• We aim to acknowledge your request within 7 days.
• Your account and personal data are deleted within 30 days of a verified request.
• Backups roll off on their normal cycle shortly after; deleted data is not restored from them.
• We may keep a minimal record that a deletion happened, and anything we're legally required to retain, but not your contacts or activity.

Just want to stop, not delete?

If you'd rather keep your data but stop notifications, turn off reminders in Settings. To take a break without deleting, simply sign out. Your data stays until you ask us to remove it.
